  Music Video Evolution: The Late '90s and Present Music Videos According to History.com, the oldest film with music was filmed by Thomas Edison in 1895. It won't be until 1959 that Jiles Perry Richardson, also known as The Big Bopper, would coin the term 'music video' in an interview with the British Magazine. Humanity has come too far if we look back and examine the humble beginnings of this wonderful entertainment tool. With that being said, let's take a trip back down memory lane to the late 1990s, when life was a bit slower than we have today.   Sigriswil - A Musical Analysis # 2      I would have never known about this song if I hadn't binge-watched Crash Landing on You in December 2019. Performed by Kim Kyunghee of the pop-rock K-pop band April 2nd, the song was released on February 16, 2020, as part of the drama's OST album. My interest in the show even led me to visit its Bernese Oberland filming locations during a family trip to Switzerland in summer 2023. It's a story about two people segregated by a boundary and political issues. They met through unexpected circumstances and in the process, fell in love. Fast Car - A Musical Analysis      What if you happenstance meet a person who drives a Fast Car that can take you somewhere and transform you into someone better, will you take the plunge?       The first time I heard this song, it definitely awakened some dormant feelings I had growing up. Tracy Chapman's poetic song-writing abilities has shone brightly in this piece titled Fast Car. And if it struck some chord in me, I am fairly certain it evoked some heart-wrenching memories on the masses too. Fast Car is her most favored and her biggest worldwide hit song even garnered awards at the Grammy (1989 Best Female Pop Vocal Performance) and Country Music Awards in 2023 (Song of the Year, 35 years after the initial release of the song)  She wrote it when she was around 22 and released it on April 15, 1988 with her producer David Kershenbaum.
